Activating & Installing Office Via Redeem

How to activate your Office key and install the suite onto your PC.

  1. Activating Office

    Go to redeem.microsoft.com/, sign in using your existing Microsoft account, or create a new one.

  2. Enter Your Key

    Enter your 25 character CD key, click next.

  3. Activate Office

    If the product shown is correct, select Confirm to finish the redemption process. There are no refunds past this point as the product is permanently tied to your Microsoft account.

  4. Download Office

    Click the Install link presented or go to the Services & subscriptions pageĀ and sign in using your Microsoft account if you’re not signed in already. This is where you can manage all of the products linked to your Microsoft account, if you need to re-install a program in the future you can do so again from this page.

  5. Install Link

    Click the Install link next to a product.

  6. Customize The Install

    Select the options you want with the “Other options” link (such as 64-bit and language), and then click Install. This will download the setup file to your computer.

  7. Installation

    Notice: If your computer came with Office 365 pre-installed, or if you had Office 365 installed from a previous subscription, please un-install it from your system first otherwise it overrides this installation and says you subscription has expired.
    Run the setup file downloaded to your computer to install the Office applications.

  8. Installation Complete

    Your install is finished when you see the phrase, “You’re all set! Office is installed now” and an animation plays to show you where to find Office applications on your computer. Select Close.
    Follow the instructions in the window to find your Office apps. For example depending on your version of Windows, select Start and then scroll to find the app you want to open such as Excel or Word, or type the name of the app in the search box.
