Windows 11 Taskbar: Weather Button Moves
The weather button on the Windows 11 Taskbar will now be located on the right when the Start button is left-aligned. This change is being tested by Microsoft in the Windows Insider Beta channel build.
- The weather button moved to the right side of the Taskbar next to the System Tray.
- New positioning mirrors Windows 10 setup for detailed weather display.
- The current implementation shows a large gap between weather information and System Tray.
- Microsoft expected to refine its appearance before rolling out to production PCs.
- The change introduced gradually in the Insider Program is expected for all users in the coming months.
Previously, the weather button was moved to the location where the Start button used to be, on the far left of the Taskbar, due to the default center positioning of the Start button in Windows 11. However, with the new change, when the Start button is left aligned, the weather button will now be placed next to the System Tray on the right side of the Taskbar. This new location mirrors the setup in Windows 10 and allows for the display of detailed weather information without compromising space.
While the current implementation of the weather button in this new position may not look optimal due to a large gap between the weather information and the System Tray, it is expected that Microsoft will refine its appearance before the feature is rolled out to production PCs in the future.
This change is currently being introduced gradually in the Insider Program and will likely become available to all users in the coming months.
